Why this is a different test than the timer
The main CPS test rewards your best burst inside a window; this one punishes any burst that can't be repeated. Jitter and butterfly clicking both fatigue — the forearm cramps, the second finger drifts out of rhythm — and a plain click counter never shows you exactly where the wheels came off. The gauge does: watch the fill drop below the marker and you've found the second your technique failed, not just the final average.
Picking a fair target
Start below your burst CPS from the main test, not at it — a burst number was never meant to be held. If your ten-second burst reads 11, try holding 8 for 15 seconds before chasing 12. The hold time matters more than the rate: most people can fake a rate for two seconds through willpower alone, but fifteen seconds asks the technique to actually work.
